Not every encounter is about passion. Sometimes, it’s simply about being present with each other. It’s about entering a space where time slows, and for a little while, the outside world fades away. What we consider luxury, the blissful escapes we often long for, are, in my view, simply wishing for permission to just be, to enjoy life one moment at a time.
I’ve been reflecting on the other night. A quiet dinner, an easy conversation, a gentleman who desired company more than anything else. R spoke to me about the weight of responsibility, the constant pressure to be everything for everyone. I listened, not just to his words but to what was left unsaid. I imagined the heaviness of all he was carrying, and it felt beautiful to see a new side of him emerge as the evening moved on, so much more playful and vibrant and to see how much lighter he was by the time we said our goodbyes.
People come to me for different reasons. Some people want escape, others want excitement. Others simply want to exhale. To sit across from someone who isn’t asking anything of them, who doesn’t require them to wear a mask, who isn’t expecting them to perform. I like those moments. They remind me that what I offer isn’t just about seduction. Sometimes, I get to create a space where someone can just be.
I think we all need that, in some way. A place where we can put aside our burdens, even if just for an evening, even if just for an exhale, that strengthens us to tackle life’s next big challenge, to show up as our best selves. And maybe that’s what makes my work so fascinating—not just the chemistry or the allure, but the simplicity of connection. And to me, that’s beautiful.
