Ivy Société is excited to announce our first ever Sex Worker Only Gala Event. Celebrating our community in an inclusive and social atmosphere is something we’ve wanted to do since the very beginning of Ivy Société. Blaire has a passion for organising events, and is driven by her mission to give back to our community. On Sunday the 6th of February 2022, we invite you to dress up in your favourite blacktie / cocktail attire and enjoy a night of socialising over drinks, delicious food and dancing.
Invitees
This is strictly a sex worker only event. The Gala is inclusive of all genders, and only requires that you are a sex worker to attend. For the safety and discretion of everyone attending, you must be able provide verification of your working status upon entry. Dress Code
The Gala is a black-tie event, so please dress in your favourite formal / cocktail attire. If you’re wearing heels, make sure they are comfortable enough for mingling and dancing.
The Venue
Ivy Société acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the Woiwurrung People on whose unceded lands this event will be held. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.
To further ensure the safety and discretion of our attendees, we are not publicly announcing the venue. Ticket holders will receive a text message 9 hours prior to the event with the venue details. Some things to note is that the venue is in a high rise building with city views and requires lift access. It is wheelchair accessible and walking distance from Flinders Street Station. Please aim to arrive at 7pm-7.30pm.
Food And Dietary Requirements
The food has been arranged so that there will be sufficient vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. For any dietary requirements that are more specific, including allergies, please enter as a note when purchasing your ticket or contact us directly at hello@ivysociete.com
Ticket Pricing and Inclusions
This is a not-for-profit event and your ticket price is inclusive of everything offered at the Gala. Each ticket holder will have access into the venue where your ticket entitles you to a variety of canapés, more substantial dishes and drinks from the bar. For alcoholic beverages there are options of beer, wine and spirits. Please keep in mind this excludes cocktails, and the complimentary bar is open for 4 hours.
Sales And Refunds
Final ticket sales end on 02.02.22. If you have purchased a ticket and can’t make it; please keep in mind that due to the external ticketing site; refunds will only be given if they are requested 7 days prior to the event and due to privacy concerns, we will not be able to change the name on your ticket.
Sponsored Tickets and Donations
Ivy Société is sponsoring a number of tickets for those who wish to attend the Gala yet do not have the financial means to make the event. Sponsored tickets will abide by the honesty system and we will not ask for any proof of your situation. Depending on donations, we may also be able to sponsor your travel costs. If you would like to discuss a sponsored ticket please contact us directly at hello@ivysociete.com.
While Ivy Société will be sponsoring these tickets, the amount of sponsored tickets available will grow with community support. If you wish to make a donation, you can help make this event even more inclusive. Although clients are not invited to attend this event, we are welcoming client donations. Sex workers are also welcomed to show their support through donations.
Donations of any amount are welcomed and are accepted through our third party ticketing site. The site will prompt you to enter your Twitter username, please do so if you wish to receive a thank you from us on social media.

Photography
The privacy and security of our attendees is our first priority. Please read the logistics surrounding photography carefully. There will be a photographer present for the first half an hour in a designated area for those who wish to have their photo taken on arrival. Please only consent to your photo being taken if you are happy for it to be shared on social media. Under no circumstance will a photographer be walking around taking photos.
You will also have access to a photo booth that you can use autonomously; if you are happy for these images to be shared on social media, please leave them in the basket provided, otherwise feel free to take them home with you.
We ask that you be mindful when taking photos with your phone, if you are taking photos / selfies with people, always ask for consent and please refrain from taking room shots. These protocols are enlisted to protect workers who do not wish to disclose their identity, so please respect this request.
We would love for you to tag us on any photos you post, provided they are consensual. Please tag us with @ivysociete and use the hashtags #ivysociete.
Safety
The safety of our community is most important and we take safety measures very seriously. For this reason we will be vetting every ticket holder. As mentioned we will not be releasing information regarding the location of the event publicly or to anyone without a ticket. For discretion, Blaire will meet you at the door to check your tickets and working name. As this is an 18+ event, security may check proof of age, however they will not have access to your working name and provider information.
