After the success of our first not-for-profit gala event in 2022, Ivy Société is excited to announce our second Sex Worker Only Gala event, which will be held in Sydney on Febuary 5th, 2023. The theme of our upcoming event is an ode to how the sex work community has blossomed over the years, and will be themed ‘Wild Flowers’.

Celebrating our community in an inclusive, and safe atmosphere is important to us, so we invite you to dress in your finest formal attire (floral, colourful) and relish in a night of socialising with your peers over drinks, delicious food, and dancing!

Invitees
This is strictly a sex worker only event. The Gala is inclusive of all genders, and only requires that you are sex worker to attend. The privacy and safety of our community is our priority, so you must be able to provide verification of your working status when purchasing tickets.
It is imperative that your ticket is purchased under your working name, and with your work email. Under no circumstance should you divulge your personal information, and legal name when purchasing your ticket. Dress Code
The Gala is a black-tie event, so please dress in your favourite formal / cocktail attire. If you’re wearing heels, make sure they are comfortable enough for mingling and dancing. We love the creativity of our community, so let your imagination run wild with the Gala’s floral theme, and dress up in your interpretation of your favourite flower!
The Venue
Ivy Société acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we will meet, and pay our respects to Elders past and present.
To ensure the utmost safety and discretion of our attendees, we are not publicly announcing the name of the venue. Ticket holders will receive an email 9 hours prior to the event with the specific details of the venue. So you can organise your travel, we can divulge that the venue is located 4km South of Sydney’s city centre. The space is wheelchair accessible, and does not require the use of an elevator. The event starts at 7pm, so please aim to arrive at 7pm-7.30pm. Contact Blaire directly if you would like recommendations for nearby hotels.
Food And Dietary Requirements
The food has been arranged so that there will be sufficient vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. Please make note of any other dietary requirements, including allergies when purchasing your ticket, or contact us directly at hello@ivysociete.com.
Ticket Pricing and Inclusions
This is a not-for-profit event and your ticket price is inclusive of everything offered at the Gala. Each ticket holder will have access into the venue where your ticket entitles you to a variety of canapés, more substantial dishes, and drinks from the bar. For alcoholic beverages there are options of beer, wine and spirits, and also a selection of non-alcoholic beverages. Please keep in mind your ticket excludes cocktails, and the complimentary bar is open for 4 hours, from 7pm.
Sales And Refunds
Final ticket sales end 12 days prior to the event, on 24.01.22. If you have purchased a ticket and can’t make it; please keep in mind that due to the external ticketing site; refunds will only be given if they are requested 10 days prior to the event.
Sponsored Tickets and Donations
Ivy Société is sponsoring a number of tickets for those who wish to attend the Gala yet do not have the financial means to purchase a ticket. Sponsored tickets will abide by the honesty system, and we will not ask for any proof of your situation. If you would like to discuss a sponsored ticket please contact us directly at hello@ivysociete.com.
While Ivy Société will be sponsoring a number of tickets, the amount of sponsored tickets available will grow with community support. If you wish to make a donation, you can help make this event even more inclusive. Although clients are not invited to attend this event, we are welcoming client donations. Sex workers are also encouraged to show their support. Donations of any amount are welcomed and are accepted through our third party ticketing site.

Photography
The privacy and security of our attendees is our first priority. Please read the logistics surrounding photography carefully. There will be a photographer present for the first 60 minutes in a designated area for those who wish to have their photo taken on arrival. Under no circumstance will a photographer be walking around taking photos.
Please only consent to your photo being taken if you are happy for it to be shared on social media. For those who are ‘face in’ and wish for their face to be blurred, we will provide a wristband to wear as a signal that you would like your face to be blurred.
We ask that you be mindful when taking photos with your phone, if you are taking photos / selfies with people, always ask for consent and please refrain from taking room shots. These protocols are enlisted to protect workers who do not wish to disclose their identity, so please respect this request.
We would love for you to tag us in any photos you post, provided they are consensual. Please tag us with @ivysociete and use the hashtags #ivysociete. Please do not tag the venue until the event has ended.
Safety
The safety of our community is our first and foremost priority and we take safety measures very seriously. For this reason we will be vetting every ticket holder. As mentioned we will not be releasing information regarding the location of the event publicly or to anyone without a ticket. For discretion, a staff member will meet you at the door to check your ticket and cross reference with the guest list. As this is an 18+ event, security may check proof of age, however they will not have access to your working name, or provider information.
For safety purposes, you will be provided with a wristband to wear, please ensure you wear it for the entirety of the event. If you feel unsafe at any point please mention it straight away to the bar staff or to Blaire Hunter in person, or via text 0431530393.
