Interview with Isobel Thorne – Part 2

How many years have you been in the industry?

It’s hard to say exactly. I started doing this job when I was 18 (I’m now 31) and, in a way, I’ve never really left. The amount of time I spend doing it and how much I rely on it for income has varied though as I had another job full-time for several years. I don’t know if I could ever fully give this job up though, it’s such a part of who I am.

What are you most complimented for?

I get compliments on my eyes, smile and boobs a lot. The funniest compliment I get often though is on my hands. I have lost count of the number of times I have heard, in both my personal and professional life, some variation of, “I love your hands. They’re so small and delicate. They make my dick look massive!”

If clients wish to bring gifts, do you have any preferences or suggestions?

I love scented candles and fancy black teas (T2 French Earl Grey is a favourite). I also collect silly tshirts, so those always go down well. Giftcards are also great. I am currently planning renovations on my apartment and it turns out I have very expensive taste in appliances so giftcards for places like Harvey Norman will be put to good use.

What are three things you are grateful for today?

I am grateful that it’s finally spring, which is my favourite season. I love walking through the part in spring and see the new flowers and the way the air smells. I am grateful for my close friends who I’ve known for years and who love me unconditionally. And I am grateful I get to set my own hours at work. I had to travel in peak hour traffic this morning. Awful. Glad I don’t have to do that everyday.

Describe your favourite way to relax.

Something involving water. A bath, a swim at the beach, a bathhouse. I’m trying to evolve back into a marine animal.

Share something that’s at the top of your bucket list.

I really want to travel more. I am the worst at organising holidays and getting a pet sitter is always difficult, but I have a list of places I would really like to see soon.

If you could master any form of art (painting, dance, music, etc.), what would it be?

Dancing! I love dancing, I was on the dance team in high school and I’ve done pole dancing for years. I have never been good at dancing though. My high school dance teacher once said I would be a beautiful dancer if I wasn’t so clumsy and nothing has changed.
