Lately, I’ve been thinking about what sensuality really feels like for me. We hear the word thrown around a lot, but it’s often just about a look or a moment in the right light. To me though, sensuality is so much deeper than that. It’s how you move, how you carry yourself and how you make people feel without saying a word. I think true sensuality comes from being completely comfortable in your own skin.
I feel in tune with my sensuality most when my mind and body are connected. Even when I’m hiking and feeling the earth beneath my feet and the wind on my skin it’s such a reminder that my body is strong and powerful. It’s not just something I carry around but a part of the world around me and part of something bigger. Or when I’m gardening there’s something so grounding about the dirt between my fingers and watching something grow from nothing. Yoga has the same effect on me too. Every stretch and breath pulls me deeper into my body. It’s like a dance or like I’m truly listening to myself for the first time all day. It reminds me that sensuality isn’t just about appearances but that it is about being in tune with yourself on other levels. I also make space for quiet moments. Whether it’s a warm bath with some oils, or just some time to reflect. These moments aren’t about performing for anyone else, they’re about reconnecting with myself.
For me, sensuality isn’t something you wear or show off. It’s just being in your body, being present, being confident, doing what you love and owning who you are. It’s that kind of magnetic energy that that people feel without you having to say a word. It’s felt rather than just seen.
How do you tap into and express your sensuality?
