How to do sex work more sustainably

Environment

Hair Dye – I’m going grey but I don’t use chemicals to dye my hair. I use is Light Mountain Color the Gray.

Hair Care  – I use all natural shampoo. This is what I’m currently using is NATURALLY KNOT Dreadlock Shampoo

Electricity – When using motels, air bnbs I turn off appliances when not using them. I also only heat or cool the rooms that I’m using.

Clothing and accessories- I shop at op shops for handbags, jewellery and clothing. I’ve got a heap of lingerie that no longer fits that I will exchange with SWOP if I get the chance.

Beauty – I don’t use make up. I know there’s environmentally friendly options out there but don’t like the sensory feel. I only use Jojoba oil

Food – I try and support local by going to farmers markets which helps with food mileage.

Misc – I use essential oils for perfumes and air fragrance instead of products with chemicals

Social

I try and not take clients that are boundary pushers to prevent burn out.

I’ve tightened up my intake process that helps to keep the hustlers and zombies out.

Healthy living.

I try and be supportive of peers when there is opportunity.

Keep informed with current gender and sexuality issues.

Economic

I’m a bit shit with this one. I make sure my bills are paid and the things that help me do my work are working: technology, car expenses. But as for saving for the future or for a rainy day that’s not a strong area for me.

Here is a good source for economic sustainability
