Melbourne has always held a special place in my heart. I briefly lived here, and every visit feels like a mix of nostalgia and new discoveries. While most people rave about the coffee, laneways, and artsy charm, my favorite part is the unpredictable, generally colder weather (weird, I know). This trip, however, had a purpose beyond just my love for the city—it was centered around the Ivy Société Gala, a peer-organized event designed to bring our community together.
In an industry that can often be isolating—where so much time is spent alone, behind a screen, or waiting in a hotel room for a gentleman’s visit—opportunities to connect with peers are rare but cherished. Attending the gala meant finally seeing familiar faces beyond a screen, sharing laughs, and celebrating the incredible, multifaceted individuals who make up our world.
Traveling with my favorite girls, Alaska Sinclair and Lily Lawson, made the trip all the more special. We flew down from Brisbane, buzzing with excitement, knowing we’d also be reuniting with our exotic dancer friend, Ginger Zephyr, before she makes her move to Brisbane next month. The four of us formed the perfect little girl gang—balancing work, play, and everything in between. Whether we were getting ready together, running around the city, or indulging in post-work snacks, it was the kind of trip that reminded me how important genuine friendships are in this industry.
Another highlight was catching up with my dear friend Blair Beaumont over lunch. Touring life is fast-paced, and sometimes these fleeting moments with friends are all we get—so they become even more valuable.
No trip to Melbourne would be complete without immersing myself in its rich cultural scene. I treated myself to a matinee performance of Avenue Q, the retiring show that I’d seen once many years ago—it’s a funny one. The humor, the nostalgia, and the undeniable charm of those puppets made for the perfect afternoon escape. I also made time to visit the Museum of Desires, a thought-provoking exhibition that left me both inspired and introspective.
Of course, food was a major part of my itinerary. While I enjoyed several delicious meals, my standout dining experience was at Stella—an intimate yet vibrant spot that completely won me over. Every dish was beautifully crafted, and the ambiance was just right for unwinding after long days.
Beyond the gala, the art, and the incredible meals, the true highlight of my trip was the wonderful suitors I had the pleasure of meeting. Melbourne always introduces me to such charming, engaging gentlemen, and this visit was no exception. From captivating conversations to unforgettable encounters, each meeting reminded me why I love what I do.
Though this was just a quick visit, Melbourne never fails to make an impact. I left feeling inspired, recharged, and already thinking about my next trip back. Until next time, Melbourne—you’ve been an absolute dream.
For those who missed me this round, don’t worry—I’ll be back soon.
